The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.

 

Position Summary

 

Reporting to the Head of CS&O, this role is responsible for driving a strong risk and compliance culture across the CS&O division. This would include ensuring overall awareness and adherence to external regulatory and internal risk frameworks and policies, and overseeing the division’s risk, compliance and audit activities. This role sits within the business and will work closely with internal stakeholders across other 3 lines of defense.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to ensure awareness and compliance to regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks, policies and processes across the various units within the division
  • Subject matter expert for risk and compliance for Operations
  • Independent review of operational processes and procedures for risks and mitigating controls, and regulatory compliance
  • Work closely with CS&O departments to ensure completion of various risk and compliance activities such as Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Key Risk Indicators (KRI) reviews and reporting, Business Continuity Plan (BCP) reviews and testing
  • Lead and coordinate efforts across division in preparation and undergoing of all internal and external audits and inspections
  • Train and equip CS&O teams on risk and compliance
  • Engage and work effectively with stakeholders such as Business, R&C, Internal Audit

 

Requirements

  • University degree in related discipline or equivalent
  • Recognised professional qualification in risk and controls will be an advantage
  • At least 5 years in audit, assurance or operational risk roles. Experience in a financial institution will be an advantage
  • Strong working knowledge of risk management and control, and three lines of defense
  • Good communications skills
  • Able to work independently as well as with a team
