AWS Clouds Operation Engineer

The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain. 

The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of AWS infrastructure ensuring uptime, performance, and reliability
• Monitor environments using CloudWatch, CloudTrail and resolve incidents with RCA
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and failover mechanisms
• Automate operational tasks using Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, or scripting
• Manage AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, ELB, Auto Scaling
• Enforce security best practices (IAM, patching, encryption, vulnerability management)
• Support deployments and CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams
• Optimize cloud usage and costs through rightsizing and governance

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 5+ years in infrastructure/cloud operations with 4+ years AWS hands-on experience
• Strong experience in AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
• Linux/Unix administration experience
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing)
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools
• Containers (Docker / Kubernetes / EKS) – preferred
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles
• AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate (Mandatory)
