The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain. 
 

The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.

 

 

Position Summary

 

As a Business Development Associate, you should be specializing in Exhibitions & Events, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of NETS services through strategic partnerships and effective management of exhibition and event-related projects. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring NETS branding and presence in the Exhibition and Events sectors.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the exhibitions and events sector to be in line with the Events Strategy
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the industry
  • Identifying and leading discussions with external stakeholders to find out their exact event requirements, scope and opportunities, including liaising with Event Organizers, Malls, Associations, Government Agencies, etc.

 

Client Acquisition and Retention

  • Collaborate with internal and external clients to understand their exhibition and event requirements
  • Create compelling proposals and presentations tailored to event specific needs
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new business
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention through proactive communication and excellent service delivery

 

Project Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of exhibitions and events
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and partners to ensure timely and successful project delivery
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and logistics for multiple projects simultaneously
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during project implementation
  • Conduct and compilation of post event reports and updates

 

Requirements

 

  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in any field
  • At least 3 years of experiences in a similar position, preferably in an event management industry
  • Possess strong understanding of the exhibition and events industry, including trends, key players, and market dynamics
  • Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
