BCS is NETS’ wholly owned subsidiary, and is an entity within the NETS Group. It manages and operates clearing and payment infrastructure for the Singapore Automated Clearing House, including Fast And Secure Transfers (FAST), Inter-bank GIRO (IBG), Cheque Truncation System (CTS), and provides services for PayNow and SGQR Central Repository.

 

 

 

Team and Position Summary 

  

The Business Manager will be part of the CEO Office, reporting directly to the BCS CEO. The Business Manager will work closely with the leadership team and plays a vital role in driving strategic initiatives, optimising processes across business units, monitoring critical deliverables and ensuring alignment with business goals.     

  

Key Responsibilities 

 

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives and growth plans
  • Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to set and achieve long-term goals
  • Oversee the planning and execution of projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
  • Provide leadership in change management, monitoring progress across business units and applying corrective actions

 

Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, and implement improvements where necessary
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Track critical deliverables and ensure timelines are observed

 

Financial and Resource Management

  • Support financial and resource management in partnership with the Finance and HR teams
  • Partner with the leadership team to drive process improvement and identify areas for cost optimisation

 

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Drive and coordinate communications and engagement initiatives – assist in planning, execution and/or coordination of events
  • Facilitate effective communication of updates, challenges, and initiatives with key stakeholders

   

Requirements 

  

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology or a related field
  • Minimum of at least 10 years of relevant experience in business management, strategy development or similar roles

  

Skills and Knowledge 

  • Strong knowledge of banking systems, financial services regulations, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure
  • Project management experience, demonstrating the ability to manage cross-functional teams to successful project completion
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present findings to stakeholders
  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
