The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain.
The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.
Position Summary
The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in steering the go-to-market plans for NETS CORE and emerging product offerings while overseeing the product’s profit and loss (P&L) performance.
This individual will be responsible for ensuring seamless product cutovers and successful launches by working collaboratively with relevant internal stakeholders, as well as driving revenue growth and cost optimization aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate should possess strong project management skills and demonstrate a client-first approach, with a deep appreciation for system technology flows and a solid grasp of customer behavior. Their ability to align commercial outcomes with user needs will be essential in delivering sustainable product success.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the product’s profit and loss and develop strategies for product positioning and go-to-market execution.
- Monitor market trends and competitive practices to inform and refine product vision, roadmap, requirements, and performance metrics.
- Convert the product roadmap into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Oversee design and development teams to deliver innovative product features through testing and iteration.
- Compile and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including business requirements, manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides.
- Manage essential product documentation such as change requests, memorandums, testing protocols, and contractual agreements.
- Lead daily product operations and coordinate with key stakeholders to swiftly resolve operational issues.
- Support merchant and partners onboarding by liaising with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.
- End to end product management, including overseeing enhancement requests and project delivery.
- Good relationship management with partners and hence enhancing the growth of the business.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in product management within the payments or loans-related domain
- Holds a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification
- Proven experience working across technology, sales, and operations teams
- Strong background and demonstrated interest in payments and product management
Skills and Knowledge
- Exceptional analytical capabilities with a proactive leadership mindset
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage diverse internal and external parties
- Keen attention to detail
- Solid understanding of Singapore lending regulations (both unsecured and corporate lending)
- Hybrid of strong business acumen and technical understanding of digital and physical payment channels and devices
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
- Ability to drive product initiatives end-to-end, including influencing stakeholders and ensuring successful execution
- Creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Professional Certification
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in Singapore and regional payments/financial services landscape (advantageous)
