The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain.
The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.
Role Overview
The incumbent plays a key role in leading the commercialization of payment product innovation across the NETS product suite, including contact/contactless, mobile payments, debit cards, prepaid, tokenization, QR code, and emerging payment technologies.
This role is business-oriented and project-driven, requiring a blend of product strategy, market development, and cross-border ecosystem building. The incumbent must be able to bridge business needs, technical capabilities, and regulatory frameworks to deliver successful commercialization outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
- Cross-Border Business Development: Identify and cultivate cross-border payment partnerships with financial institutions, fintechs, wallet players, and regional switches.
- Government & Industry Collaboration: Support and represent NETS in Government-to-Government (G2G) and industry-driven payment initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment and value creation.
- Product Commercialization: Drive go-to-market activities for new payment solutions, including positioning, pricing strategies, partnership models, and pilot launches.
- Strategic Product Development: Collaborate with Product and Tech teams to shape features that align with business cases and industry trends.
- Regulatory and Compliance Awareness: Ensure initiatives align with regulatory frameworks in Singapore and partner jurisdictions.
- Business Support: Support commercial negotiations, prepare business cases, and track KPIs tied to partner or market development initiatives.
- Project Management: Lead or co-lead cross-functional projects related to new payment products and regional integrations, ensuring timelines and stakeholder coordination are met.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in payments, fintech, or financial services
- Proven experience in business development, partnership management, or product commercialization
- Strong knowledge of payment ecosystems including cards, QR, tokenization, and mobile payments
- Familiarity with MAS regulations, cross-border payment trends, and compliance requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management and project leadership skills
- Analytical and strategic thinker with strong communication abilities
