The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.
The Engineer in MIS is primarily a desktop support specialist with strong hands-on experience in end-user computing and technical support within the organization. In this role, he/she is responsible for ensuring reliable and efficient desktop operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and delivering high-quality user support.
In addition, the Engineer will support IT projects, initiatives, system integrations, and implementations as needed, contributing to the continuous enhancement and evolution of the organization’s IT platforms and infrastructure
Responsibilities:
- Provide desktop support – install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Win10 & M365 Apps
- Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot for printers, computer hardware and any authorized peripheral equipment
- Provide support for hardware and application support queries and issues reported to the helpdesk
- Troubleshooting problems associated with network connectivity and workstation hardware/software
- Responsible for tracking hardware and software inventory
- Familiarize end users on basic software, hardware and peripheral device use
- Take ownership and responsibility of queries, tickets, issues and problems assigned to the EUC Helpdesk
- Perform logging and closure of tickets for issues or queries assigned to the EUC Helpdesk
- Escalate issues to L2 whenever required to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Perform end user MS/application security patches using endpoint management tools
Requirements
- Diploma in IT, Computer Sciences or equivalent
- Experience in Wintel
- After office hours and weekend support is expected
