BCS is NETS’ wholly owned subsidiary, and is an entity within the NETS Group. It manages and operates clearing and payment infrastructure for the Singapore Automated Clearing House, including Fast And Secure Transfers (FAST), Inter-bank GIRO (IBG), Cheque Truncation System (CTS), and provides services for PayNow and SGQR Central Repository.
Position Summary
The IT Disaster Recovery Programme Manager will lead the end-to-end disaster recovery life cycle at BCS which includes business impact analysis, planning, testing and governance. The incumbent will partner the IT leadership team to prepare applications, infrastructure, and systems in the event of a technology disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and improve cross-functional programmes that enable the recovery of critical IT business functions and systems.
- Collaborate with IT leaders and relevant teams to develop enterprise disaster recovery plans and strategies to meet the business’ RTO and RPO.
- Implement and maintain backup and recovery technology setup (on-prem and on cloud).
- Ensure new applications, systems and infrastructure introduced have clear disaster recovery requirements and solutions.
- Work closely with the Event Management team, Business Continuity Programme (BCP) team and IT Leaders during a crisis event to coordinate the disaster recovery responses and recovery.
- Conduct annual disaster recovery exercise to validate the effectiveness of recovery plans and report test results to IT Leaders and BCP team.
- Schedule and coordinate call tree and recovery exercises for all IT systems.
- Create and maintain documentation for disaster recovery procedures
- Work with Data Center department to ensure understanding and alignment of the Operating Center recovery plan.
- Partner with IT Leadership to ensure vendors supporting the business have the appropriate service level recovery standards and agreement in place, which align with BCS’ standards and requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
- At least 10 years of experience in IT Operations, network, database, systems, servers and applications administration.
- Experienced in designing, implementing and managing IT disaster recovery programme
- Self-starter and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strategic and has a long-term vision for the business
- Results-oriented, possess good planning, organizational and negotiation skills
- Skilled at building and maintaining relationships across all levels in the organization
