Position Summary


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Service Management (ITSM) Intern to join our dynamic IT team. The ITSM Intern will support our IT Service Management processes, tools, and functions, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of IT Services. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in a professional setting, with exposure to various aspects of IT Service Management.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Asset Management
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of IT assets, including hardware, software within the asset management system.
- Support the end-to-end asset lifecycle management process, including procurement, receiving, deployment, transfer, return, and disposal of IT assets.
- Perform asset inventory checks, audits, and reconciliation activities to ensure asset records remain accurate and up to date.
- Assist in tracking software licenses and supporting compliance requirements to ensure adherence to company policies and vendor agreements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and service desk teams on asset-related requests and enquiries.
- Participate in IT Asset Management projects and other IT Service Management initiatives as assigned.


2.ITSM Tool Support
- Provide support for ITSM tools and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Assist in user training and onboarding for ITSM tools.

 

3.Reporting and Analytics
- Coordinate, consolidate, generate and distribute regular reports on ITSM metrics and KPIs.
- Assist in the analysis of IT service performance data.

 

Requirements

 

Education and Experience 

 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of IT Service Management principles (e.g., ITIL framework).
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Available to commence internship from January - June 2027, Full time  

 

Skills and Knowledge 

 

  • Knowledge of ITIL v4 or previous versions.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure components (e.g., servers, networks, databases).
