Team and Position Summary

The Technology Division at BCS is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and support of BCS applications such as FAST, Giro, CTS, PayNow, SGQR, TFR, CCP, eGIRO and its critical infrastructure, ensuring its operational stability, regulatory compliance, and service reliability.

The Application Delivery department is regarded as BCS’ domain experts, overseeing the enhancement, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of applications, ensuring its functionality, security, and performance in alignment with set standards.

The Infrastructure Specialist will play a solution architect role, responsible for designing and governing, resilient, and highly available enterprise technology environments across infrastructure, networks, cloud, security, databases, and storage. The role also supports business continuity through architecture governance, disaster recovery planning, and regular recovery testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain enterprise infrastructure and technology architecture standards, roadmaps, and best practices for both on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
  • Provide architecture leadership for infrastructure modernization, technology refresh, migration, and transformation initiatives.
  • Review and approve solution designs to ensure alignment with business, security, operational, and DR requirements.
  • Develop architecture documentation, technical standards, and governance processes.
  • Provide hands-on support including prototyping and coding.
  • Build proof-of-concepts (POCs)
  • Engage with business stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and implementation partners.
  • Present architecture recommendations, disaster recovery readiness reports, and technology roadmaps to leadership teams.

Infrastructure & Platform Architecture

  • Architect enterprise Linux server environments with high availability and operational resilience.
  • Establish standards for operating system hardening, patching, monitoring, automation, and lifecycle management.
  • Design multi-site infrastructure solutions supporting production and disaster recovery environments.

Network & Security Architecture

  • Design resilient Cisco network architecture covering LAN, WAN, Data Center, and inter-site connectivity.
  • Architect high-availability VPN and network security solutions utilizing Check Point and Palo Alto technologies.
  • Define network segmentation, security controls, access management, and cyber resiliency standards.
  • Ensure network and security platforms support DR failover and business continuity requirements.

Storage & Data Protection

  • Architect enterprise storage solutions utilizing Hitachi storage platforms and replication technologies.
  • Design storage resiliency, backup, recovery, and cross-site replication strategies.
  • Ensure storage architecture supports business-critical workload recovery objectives.

Database Architecture

  • Collaborate with database teams to design highly available database environments.
  • Ensure database replication, recovery, and failover strategies meet business continuity requirements.

Middleware & Integration Services

  • Define architecture standards for middleware components like IBM MQ, IBM Connect: Direct, Axway API Gateway, and Managed File Transfer platforms.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Extensive experience with hybrid cloud solutions and multi-site enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships, align diverse stakeholders, and drive successful project and business outcomes
  • Experience working in a regulated financial institution is an advantage, with a good understanding of governance, compliance, risk management, and audit requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to engage, and present to senior stakeholders, including C-Suite executives and Board members.
