Intern - Platform Engineer

The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain. 

The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.

We are seeking a motivated and talented intern with a diploma or engineering background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Linux and Ansible, and a passion for learning and growing in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with routine server operations including OS patching, monitoring and health checks.
• Support the team in managing virtual machines (VMs), storage, and backup processes.
• Help document standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in automation of server management tasks using Shell scripting, Ansible, PowerShell.
• Participate in change management and Incident management processes.

Technical Requirements

• Currently pursuing or completed in 2024 / 2025 a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Linux, Windows, VMware.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Shell, PowerShell, Python.
• Interest or experience in using automation tools such as Ansible.
• Understanding of basic networking and security principles.
