Project Director

NETS Solutions is NETS’ wholly owned subsidiary. It develops payment infrastructure and transaction processing solutions for central banks, banks and clearing houses in Singapore and the region.

Team and Position Summary

The Project Director will be reporting to the Head of Project Delivery of NETS Solutions, and will be responsible for the execution, delivery & successful implementation of the projects to customers within stipulated timeline and within budget. This position is a great opportunity for an individual possessing knowledge of finance industry and interest in payments.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Project Delivery

• Own the successful rollout of payment infrastructure projects from kickoff to completion.
• Ensure all software, whether built internally or provided by vendors, strictly meets finalized requirements and is delivered on time, on budget, and within resource limits.

2. Stakeholder & Client Management

• Act as the primary authority and point of contact for external banks, partners, and regulators.
• Lead key presentations and functional walkthroughs.
• On top problems before they escalate by proactively providing concrete solutions to stakeholder issues.

3. Cross-Functional Team Leadership

• Direct, align, and optimize the workload of all project teams (Project Managers, Engineers, QA, BAs, and SMEs) to ensure they are executing efficiently and without silos.

4. Strict Baseline & Risk Oversight

• Maintain aggressive oversight of project health. You are directly accountable for the accuracy of the Project Charter, budgets, risk registers, capacity plans, and executive dashboards.

5. Scope & Change Control

• Perform rigorous impact analysis on any requested changes to requirements.
• Actively defend the project against scope creep by strictly managing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Change Control Log.

6. Testing & Deployment Command

• Manage and sign off on all testing phases (internal, external, and industry acceptance).
• Take full command of the final "live" system cutover.

7. PMO Compliance & Audits

• Submit requested data to the PMO accurately and on time every month.
• Facilitate PMO audits with 100% transparency at any given time.

8. Process Governance & Documentation

• Define, implement, and enforce project methodologies that align with the Head of Project Delivery's standards.
• Ensure all critical project artifacts (status reports, technical specs, operational manuals, and training materials) are thoroughly reviewed and accurate.
   

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 20+ years of hands-on experience in IT project delivery.
• 15+ years of dedicated program management experience, with a proven track record of leading multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.

Skills and Knowledge

• Mastery of IT Project Management methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Executive-level communication: Must be able to confidently present to, pitch, and negotiate with high-level stakeholders and clients.
• Decisive leadership, strong people management, and sharp problem-solving capabilities.
• Industry Knowledge & Tools (Bonus / Plus)
  • Domain experience in the financial industry or with payment systems is highly advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) and MS Project.

Professional Certification

• PMP Certification is preferred.
