Project Manager

NETS Solutions is NETS’ wholly owned subsidiary. It develops payment infrastructure and transaction processing solutions for central banks, banks and clearing houses in Singapore and the region.

Overall Function

The Project Manager for Product Development and Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of product development projects and ongoing maintenance activities. Lead the development of new products from concept to market launch. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure continuous product improvement, maintaining exceptional functionality and consistently up-to-date. 

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:

• Construct detailed project plans that include timelines, critical milestones, and resource allocation
• Coordinate with product manager to define project scope and objectives
• Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure projects deliver timely
• Ensure all assignments and engagements under the functional and technical tracks are efficiently managed and executed

Stakeholder Communication:

• Communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders.
• Facilitate meetings and presentations to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
• Ensure that all project documentation is complete and up-to-date

Product Development:

• Lead the development of products from concept to market launch.
• Ensure that product specifications meet market/customer needs and industry standards
• Collaborate with engineering, product manager and functional teams to ensure seamless product development

Maintenance Management:

• Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of existing products, ensuring they remain functional and up-to-date
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for product releases
• Manage maintenance resources and coordinate with external vendors as needed

Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Monitor and report on project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed

Team Leadership:

• Provide leadership and guidance to product team members
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or equivalent. 
• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in IT projects, with at least 5 years of experience in project management of large-scale projects. 
• Proven experience in IT project management, particularly in product development and maintenance.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to effectively present and pitch ideas to stakeholders. 
• Possess leadership qualities and people management skills. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Experience in financial industry/payments systems is a plus. 
• PMP, PMI, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in J2EE, relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle and MySQL, and application servers like WebSphere Application Server (WAS), WebLogic Server (WLS), and JBoss will be advantageous.
