The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain. 

 

The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.

Position Summary

This role is responsible for advising the business on identifying various types of potential risks and working closely with them to build strong controls and procedures in order to mitigate these risks.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Senior Management and Board Committees with the management of all risk matters to ensure Enterprise level risks are monitored and reported in a timely manner ensuring adequate oversight.
  • Prepare and develop risk dashboards (e.g., Key Risk Indicators) for management reporting purposes.
  • Monitor and report status of remediation action plans developed following the reporting of exceptions identified from breached Risk Tolerances (RTs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Operational Risk Events (OREs). Monitor and report status of remediation action plans developed via risk event, RCSA or any assurance review by the second line.
  • Drive the Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) program and provide guidance to first line business units where necessary.
  • Provide advice to the first line business units on risk management frameworks, policies and processes.
  • Undertake and execute risk assessment and assurance reviews.
  • Engage stakeholders on risk matters to suggest control improvements.
  • Support Business Continuity Management (BCM) and IT Risk teams in various initiatives or other ad-hoc tasks as required.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • University degree in related discipline or equivalent industry related experience.
  • Possess a recognized professional qualification in the field of risk and controls (e.g., CIA, CRMA, CPRM, CISA, CRISC and FRM) is an advantage.
  • At least 10 years of experience in auditing, assurance or risk role; experience in a regulated financial industry is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management and control concepts, including technology risk management.
  • Strong understanding of the three lines of defense risk concept.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Able to establish effective relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  • An excellent team player who is highly motivated and has a strong desire to learn and succeed.
