The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain. 
 

The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.

 

Position Summary

Reporting to Group Chief Corporate Services Officer, the position holder will be part of the Strategy and Planning team.

 

Key Responsibilities

This role focuses on strategy development and planning within the NETS Group. The Strategy & Planning team is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Group’s strategic initiatives

 

You will be part of developing and framing the overall strategy for the Group. You will be integral towards implementing the Group’s strategic agenda across all business and support teams to drive strategic initiatives. You will provide analytical / strategic thinking and leadership support for studying business issues and will need  to have your finger on the pulse on macro trends;

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead group wide strategic planning and oversee implementation of the strategic plan in close coordination with the group business leaders
  • Develop and maintain the organization’s 3–5-year strategic plan in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against strategic objectives.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership and the board on strategy execution and outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives, recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Drive problem solving to ensure right design and implementation of strategic initiatives
  • Manage special pilot projects including coordinating among various parties and managing staff when applicable to the project;
  • Participate in the budget development process;
  • Play an active role in strengthening and maintaining the management and governance culture and practices that reflect the organization's core values, confidence, discipline, and professionalism.

 

Requirements

  • The applicant should hold a Bachelor degree in business-related discipline with at least 15 years professional experience in management consulting, internal strategy, or business management, and involved in projects related to banking and finance industry
  • Should have a strategic mindset, possess a good track record of organizational management and ability to successfully navigate in a fast-paced, outcomes-driven, and commercial environment.
  • A strong relationship builder with the ability to find common ground, build consensus and strengthen the collaboration among diverse stakeholders
  • Possess ability to understand complex problems and break them down to find structured and logical solutions with excellent writing skills; Ability to communicate complex ideas in writing and via presentation; Proven ability to interact with and influence senior leadership ; Has creative thinking, problem solving and analytical skills;
