The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain. 
 

The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.


Position Summary

The incumbent will primarily be responsible for assisting the Security Engineering team in product evaluations, security automation, and implementation support.

 

Key Responsibilities
The Security Engineer Intern will be an integral part of the security engineering team, contributing to the following key responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research on security products to identify potential solutions.
  • Perform detailed evaluations and assessments of selected security products.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and work closely with technology teams on implementation initiatives.
  • Provide support to the Engineering team in procurement-related activities.
  • Assist with automation tasks, leveraging skills in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar technologies.

 

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a security-related discipline.
  • IT security or programming-related certifications (e.g., CCNA, CEH) are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Java, PowerShell, or Python scripting is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new technologies and security tools.
  • Experience or interest in cloud security, network security, or application security is a plus.
