Security Operations Intern

The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain. 

The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.

We are seeking a proactive and talented cyber security intern with foundational understanding in cybersecurity incident response and/or security operations. This is an exciting opportunity to get immerse with hands-on learning in SIEM platforms, log analysis, and exposure to security overarching networking, platform, application and cloud technologies.

The ideal candidate is passionate about cybersecurity, eager to learn, and a team player.

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents in a timely and effective manner.
• Perform log analysis and threat detection using SIEM tools (e.g., LogRhythm, ELK).
• Support log onboarding, use case development, and fine-tuning of detection rules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security posture and incident response capabilities.
• Manage and support various security technologies including: Privileged Access Management (PAM), EDR, XDR, SOAR, Hardware Security Modules, Proxy, IDS/IPS, WAF, Anti-DDoS and Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
• Support in maintaining and enhancing security monitoring infrastructure and processes.
• Support occasional weekend/night activities for planned security operations activities or unplanned incident response.
