The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain.
The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.
The role is responsible for managing treasury and banking-related activities across the group. This includes cash flow monitoring, ensuring fund sufficiency, facilitating bank guarantees, bank reconciliations, and supporting investment and financing activities. The role also involves maintaining strong banking relationships, ensuring compliance, and contributing to financial reporting and continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Treasury & Cash Management
· Manage daily cash flow operations, ensuring adequate funding and liquidity across the group.
· Manage banking facilities, float requirements, fixed deposits, treasury bills, and cash vouchers.
· Administer the end-to-end bank guarantee process, including coordination between internal parties and banks, issuance, amendments, renewals, cancellations and updating the list of guarantees.
· Monitor and optimize cash positions to support operational and strategic needs, which includes initiating fund transfers and standing instructions
· Conduct periodic reviews for float balance, cash vouchers and cheque count
Banking & Reconciliation
· Perform monthly bank reconciliations and promptly investigate and resolve reconciling items.
· Support month-end and year-end closing activities like journal entries and other items as per checklist
· Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
· Prepare and submit bank access forms and corporate card forms
· Follow up with the banks for execution of board resolutions
· Support operations on banking-related matters
· Manage relationships with banking relationship managers and coordinate between internal parties and banks for various purposes (bank compliance, enquiries and other matters)
· Conduct periodic reviews for bank access, corporate cards, bank accounts
Compliance and Governance
· Assist with compliance, tax, and audit-related matters.
· Prepare float report for submission to banks
· Prepare forms for submission to MAS
· Ensure compliance to Payment Services Act for all processes
· Update assigned policies as and when required
· Continuously review and enhance internal controls and financial processes to improve efficiency and mitigate risks.
Administrative Support
· Assist Finance Department to raise purchase requisitions and perform GRN when required
Projects & Continuous improvement
· Support ad-hoc finance projects, reporting, and data analysis initiatives.
· Contribute to process automation and improvement efforts
General Responsibilities
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager
Requirements
· Degree or Diploma, majoring in Accounting
· Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience. Having bank reconciliation experience will be a huge advantage. Working experience dealing with formula-heavy excel files, multiple data sets and processes will be an advantage. Working experience with SAP or other major ERP systems will be an advantage.
· Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e standard formulas, lookups, Pivot Tables, Power Query).
· Proficiency in Power BI with experience as an end-user will be an advantage
· Proficiency in VBA will be an advantage
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Effective time management, multitasking and ability to meet tight deadlines.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt flexibly when needed.
