Senior Business Analyst (1 year contract)

NETS Solutions is NETS’ wholly owned subsidiary. It develops payment infrastructure and transaction processing solutions for central banks, banks and clearing houses in Singapore and the region.

Team and Position Summary

The Business Analyst is a member of the Project Delivery Group – Senior Business Analyst team in NETS Solutions and will report to the Project Manager or Division Manager. He/She will be responsible for providing project support throughout a software development life cycle project or application delivery teams as well as quality testing of project delivery and enhancements prior to implementation or release to production system.  

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for conducting requirement elicitation sessions with the users
• Responsible for managing stakeholder(s) alignment: listen, mediate, confirm.  
• Ensure the user requirements and functional changes are documented clearly and concisely
• Ensure the AS IS and TO BE processes are documented and playback to any necessary level of stakeholder.  
• Ensure proper sign-off of requirement specifications
• Conduct regular interactions with the technical team, providing necessary & essential knowledge transfer of the user expectations.
• Ensure the balance between Compliance & user experience.
• Preparation of User Manuals and project documentation  
• Preparation of training materials and conduct training to internal and external parties
• Provide support to internal and external parties during the various testing stages (SIT, UAT)
• Management incident reported by users; Analyze user reported incidents and provide appropriate response or follow-up actions with the technical teams.
• Conduct testing activities i.e. prepare test plan, prepare and update traceability matrix, generate test cases, perform test execution, review test results and generate test report.  
• Manage, track and ensure proper closure of defects detected during testing  

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent education
• Nice to Have: Master’s in Data Analytics/Financial Engineering 
• At least 8 years of working experience in Business Analyst, application implementation and support environment are required
• Must have experience in conducting requirement workshops, requirements gathering and analysis 

Skills and Knowledge

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Testing and Defect Management tools (Jira, Confluence & MS Project)
• Should be familiar with Cucumber/ Gherkin practices  
• Should be familiar with the usage of Postman or equivalent
• Proficient in construction of test plan, test cases, test execution and test reporting
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be comfortable in conducting presentations and trainings
• Must have keen interest in documentation and capable of generating standard project deliverables
• Demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as capable of making quick and sound decisions
• Domain knowledge and experience in financial industry/payments systems is a plus. 

Professional Certification

• Minimum a CBAP (Certify Business Analysis Professional) or CSPO (Certify Scrum Product owner) or CFI’s (FinTech Industry Professional).
