Storage Infrastructure Lead

BCS is NETS’ wholly owned subsidiary, and is an entity within the NETS Group. It manages and operates clearing and payment infrastructure for the Singapore Automated Clearing House, including Fast And Secure Transfers (FAST), Inter-bank GIRO (IBG), Cheque Truncation System (CTS), and provides services for PayNow and SGQR Central Repository.

Position Summary

The Storage Infrastructure Lead will be responsible for analysing and delivering the storage infrastructure solutions to BCS. The incumbent will need to have a good understanding of the business strategy and competitive landscape and deep dive into complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain applications in the storage and backup environments to ensure operational readiness and compliance with the necessary security measures

• Deliver projects in a complex and ambiguous environment
• Own end-to-end analysis, including scoping, design, data collection, data analysis and  solutioning
• Identify potential changes and recommend system improvements
• Provide sound advice on all aspects of computer infrastructure
• Create and document the solutions using existing Infrastructure Standard Platforms and Design Patterns
• Perform rapid prototyping or proof of concept using frontend and/or backend technologies to deliver deep insight

Requirements

• At least 10 years of IT experience in administering Enterprise Storage (Hitachi Dell EMC, Networker) design, deployment and operations in a financial institution or MNC
• Good experience in enterprise backup solutions design and operations
• In-depth knowledge of security, risk, and compliance frameworks, particularly within the financial services industry
• Experience in bash, Powershell and other scripting for operational efficiency
• Experience in managing day-to-day operations of Enterprise IT infrastructure including the change management process, risk and impact assessment
• Experience in performing VM migration on databases like Oracle, MySQL, and MSSQL would be advantageous
• Ability to direct project design and planning activities for complex or large scale network infrastructure development projects
• Experience in dealing with vendors on technology and services
• Possess strong leadership qualities, ability to work collaboratively to influence technology leaders
• Analytical, good communication and presentation skills
