The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain. 
 

The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.

Team an Position Summary

 

The incumbent is responsible for performing general accounting duties to support the Head of General Ledger (NETS SG).

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Reviewing and posting journal entries
  • Prepare complex journal entries, such as month-end accrual for open POs, FRS 116 leases, provisions, etc.
  • Review the reasonableness of financials before closing the monthly books
  • Coordinate the year-end audit and draft the annual financial statements
  • Prepare monthly consolidation reports for head office and shareholders
  • Prepare monthly reports for management and quarterly reports for MAS
  • Prepare all submissions to the Risk department and coordinate the annual BCP exercise
  • Prepare balance sheet schedules and follow up on the outstanding items, if any
  • Drive the GST ACAP application and various process improvement initiatives within the Group
  • Prepare tax and deferred tax computation at year-end and ensure timely filing of taxes to tax authorities
  • Coordinate monthly intercompany recharges and reconcile the intercompany balances
  • Compile data and information to the Department of Statistics
  • Consolidation of Group accounts and verifier of payments (backup)
  • Prepare cash flow forecast
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Requirements

 

Education and Experience

 

  • Degree in Accounting or Professional Qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Accounting or auditors with Big 4 experience
  • Audit experience will be an advantage

 

Skills and Knowledge

 

  • Self-starter with problem solving skills and attention to details
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
  • Excellent people management skills, with demonstrated track record on collaboration
  • Strong knowledge of FRS and tax
  • SAP and Coupa knowledge will be an advantage
