Overall Function

 

Supplier Management, purchasing, sourcing, negotiation, purchasing strategies, Contract Management, Demand planning, order fulfillment management, Inventory management, Warehousing management

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement and Sourcing:
  • Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and favorable supply agreements.
  • Managing relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance, and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Planning and Forecasting:
  • Analyzing market demand, sales trends, and historical data to forecast future demand for products or services.
  • Collaborating with sales, marketing, and production teams to develop a comprehensive demand plan.
  • Creating and managing inventory strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize costs.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Developing inventory policies and procedures to ensure efficient stock levels and minimize stock-outs or excess inventory.
  • Implementing inventory control systems to track and monitor inventory levels, including forecasting demand and setting safety stock levels.
  • Conducting regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Warehouse Management:
  • Coordinating with warehouse and distribution teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
  • Schedule and oversee warehouse team, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations
  • Continuous Improvement and Optimization:
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Analyzing supply chain data and key performance indicators to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Implementing lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, or other improvement frameworks to drive operational excellence.

 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders, such as sales, marketing, finance, and operations, to align supply chain strategies with business objectives.
  • Collaborating with external partners, including suppliers, customers, and service providers, to foster strong relationships and drive collaboration.
  • Participating in cross-functional projects or initiatives to support overall business goals and strategic initiatives.

 

Requirements

 

  • Previous experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar field
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes 
  • Working experience of relevant software (e.g. SAP MM, MRP)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Creative problem-solving
  • A strategic and analytical mind
  • Understanding of risk management in the context of the supply chain
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills
  • Min 5 years of experience in a supply chain role
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field
