Software Tester Intern

Position Summary


The Software Tester intern will be a member of the Tech Application Devlivery – Quality Assurance team in BCS. He / She will report to the Test Manager or Test Team Lead in charge of the testing within the project. He/ She will be working with the business and technical units to devise the test objectives and perform quality testing.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare and maintain test specifications and test scripts (test scope, test scenarios, test conditions, test cases, test data and traceability matrix) as per the Functional Specifications and timeline.
  • Review test specifications, test scripts and test results.
  • Execute test cases, regression tests and confirmation tests according to test plan.
  • Report test results and software defects/issues.
  • Report status and progress to Test Lead / Manager on a regular basis.
  • Execute follow-up test to ensure software defects/issues are resolved.
  • Work closely with different teams to ensure issues are resolved and defects are fixed.
  • Update the relevant documentations related to the project/change appropriately.

 

Requirements


Education and experience

 

  • 3rd Year / Final Year Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field of study
  • Good understanding and experience in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) project implementation processes
  • Hands-on experience in:
  • Manual Testing
  • Black Box Testing (Functional and Non-Functional Testing)
  • Available to commence internship from January - June 2027, Full time  

 

Skills & Knowledge

 

  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and practices
  • Understanding of defect management processes and tools
  • Passion and willingness to learn Automation Testing
  • Exposure to or interest in: TestComplete and Selenium
  • Knowledge of test case design, execution, and defect reporting
  • Familiarity with software quality assurance principles
